Claiming on your Drone Insurance

Making a Claim


Regardless of what type of incident you have had, we will need you to complete a Claims Notification Form in order for us to start the claims process.
Please note that all information will be passed onto Insurers for review, and a representative from FlyIcarus will keep you fully informed as to the progress of your claim.

Please fill the below claims form to the best of your ability, providing as much detail as possible. 

Please remember that failure to provide your flight logs for the date and time of the incident may result in your claim being denied.

How does it work ?



Send us your drone

In the unfortunate event that you crash your drone,  all you have to is log the incident online.


A representative from FlyIcarus will be in touch with instructions on how to send the drone to our exclusive repairer for damage assessment.


Whether it's just a regular crash, or you have experienced a Fly-Away, you must send us in your flight logs for the date and time of the incident.



Pay your Excess
Once we have received your drone, our dedicated drone repair centre will assess the damage caused by the incident. In the event of a fly-away claim, approval will be sought from insurers regarding a replacement drone. 

Once the repair (or replacement) has been approved by insurers, you will be asked to pay your policy excess. This must be paid prior to the commencement of the repair or release of the replacement.

Your policy excess is 10% of the insured value subject to a minimum of £50.



We'll send your drone back to you
Once the repair has been completed, the drone will undergo various testing to ensure it is both looking and working like new again. When this has been completed your drone will be couriered back to you. Replacement drones will also be couriered directly to you.
